Bipolar Support
1
Mental Ideas
Mental Ideas utilises the arts and the media to engage and explain mental health in uniquely expressive ways.
Our projects enrich and assist recovery from mental illness by offering new ways of channeling energy, rebuilding self-esteem, making sense of intense emotions that are hard to voice, and exploring world perspectives.

Bipolar HK
We are a collective of professionals, students, writers and artists with bipolar disorder. Our mission: to fight the stigma and stereotypes attached to mental illness (while also occasionally revelling in them).
We’re here to remind YOU that you’re not alone in your quest for innovative and creative ways of managing your
mood disorder.

The C Word
In 2011 I was diagnosed with bipolar disorder. I remember the diagnosis with startling clarity. The mosquito whine of the ceiling fan, the smears on the psychiatrist’s glasses, the flake of chocolate wobbling on his lower lip as he asked me, ‘Do you know why you’re here?’ My mental confusion. He had just admitted me as a patient to a psychiatric hospital. What was he expecting me to say? ‘I popped in for a mortgage and a full body massage’?

Our first dramatic feature film 'Transference' is a bipolar love story. With the help of our partners at Mental Ideas we were able to reach a global community of people living with bipolar disorder and take part in focus groups, panel discussions, support groups, podcasts and other empowering community events providing creative inspiration.
